Copernicus Announces ocean-sea-ice time series reanalysis datasets – Now available!
Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S): Monthly ocean and sea‑ice time series from the ORAS5 (Ocean Reanalysis System 5) reanalysis.
This dataset is designed for users who need long, continuous time series at specific locations over the global ocean and sea‑ice domain, without downloading full global fields.
With a few parameters users can:
🌊 Retrieve 1958–present monthly time series for chosen ocean locations
🌊 Access key ocean and sea‑ice variables, including surface and 3D fields from sea level down to the deep ocean
🌊 Analyse trends, variability and ocean climate indicators at fixed locations (e.g. moorings, regions of interest, validation sites)
Data are provided as an analysis‑ready, cloud‑optimised subset of ORAS5, enabling fast responses and minimal data handling for time‑series workflows and ocean‑climate applications.
