NASA Lifelines is recruiting one new Research Fellow for the Winter/Spring 2026 term (January 5 – July 6, 2026).

As with past Fellowships, eligible applicants must be eligible to work in the US, and be based in the US during the course of the fellowship. Applicants should also be currently enrolled in a graduate program, have graduated within 2 years, or be completing post-doctoral research

 Term: January 5 – July 6, 2026
 Location: Remote (U.S.-based only)
 Hours: 5–10 hours per week

About the Research Fellow — Humanitarian Decision-Making Guide:
Lead the development of a new case study for the Humanitarian Guide to Earth Observation. This six-month, part-time fellowship offers the opportunity to research, write, and co-author a new case study in collaboration with humanitarian partners, applying the Guide’s suitability assessment framework. The case topic will be shaped around the Fellow’s expertise and partner priorities — potential focus areas include climate resilience, food security, displacement, or global health
