PACE Mission Announcements! Data Reprocessing and Sept 23rd Land Imagery Introductory webinar

The PACE Science Data Segment recently completed a reprocessing of the SPEXone and HARP2 Level-1C products.  This V4 reprocessing is a significant update of the calibration for both sensors, which greatly improves radiometric consistency across sensors as well as performance of geophysical retrieval algorithms.
Forward stream production of V3 L1C has now ceased, and the existing collection will be staged for deletion after a brief waiting period. Reprocessing of Level-2 and Level-3 polarimetry products utilizing the V4 calibrations (V4.0) is expected to commence in the coming weeks, including RemoTAP and MAPOL aerosol and ocean color products from SPEXone, and MAPOL and GPC aerosol, ocean color, and cloud products from HARP2.  Release notes are available here, and will be updated once Level-2 processing is initiated:
In addition, the V3.2 reprocessing of all OCI ocean color products was recently initiated and should complete within the week.  This discipline-specific reprocessing was initiated to correct some recently identified algorithm implementation errors and it will result in reduced cross-scan artifacts.  Collections to be reprocessed to V3.2 include Ocean Color Apparent Optical Properties (AOP), Inherent Optical Properties (IOP), Biogeochemistry Products (BGC), Phytoplankton Community Composition (MOANA), Net Primary Production (NPP_Cafe) and Photosynthetically Available Radiation (PAR).  More details are provided in the release notes here:
One additional change in V3.2 that should be noted is that the Global Level-3 Mapped products for the AOP, IOP, and BGC suites are now provided as one mapped file per suite.  For example, global mapped phytoplankton chlorophyll concentration will be found in the Level-3 BGC collection, and spectral water leaving reflectance (Rrs) will be found in the Level-3 AOP collection.
The V4 L1C polarimeter products and V3.2 L2/3/4 OCI ocean products are now available through our direct access and filesearch utility and are slowly making their way to the NASA EarthDataCloud (EDC).

We are excited to announce our PACE terrestrial data products are now available in NASA Earthdata’s AppEARS Version 3.122!

Background: AppEEARS (Application for Extracting and Exploring Analysis Ready Samples) is a NASA web application that offers a simple and efficient way to access and transform satellite data from a variety of federal data archives. By enabling users to subset data spatially, temporally, and by band or layer, you can download only the data you need rather than the full satellite data files.

Now included in AppEEARS are PACE OCI Level-3 Global Mapped Land Vegetation Indices (LANDVI) and Spectral Surface Reflectance (SFREFL) data products at three spatial resolutions (2 km, 4 km, 0.1 degree) and two temporal compositing intervals (daily, 8 day).
The addition of PACE land products to AppEEARS expands data access to the broader terrestrial remote sensing community and provides a range of easy-to-use subsetting options to customize your data and reduce file sizes.
