Call for Enduser Feedback of NOAA/NASA/USGS Satellite Earth Observation Needs

UNTIL AUGUST 21st – You are invited to submit your agency’s satellite Earth observation needs to NASA, NOAA, and USGS via the 2026 Satellite Needs Working Group (SNWG) surveyThe SNWG survey gathers high-priority satellite needs every two years and to support new data product development and other investments to support agency missions.
To submit a survey:
  1. Access the survey through a button on the SNWG website and submit your need (page may load slowly at first!)
  2. If you have questions while filling out your survey, email your SNWG representatives (listed in a table on the SNWG website) or the NSITE team (info@snwg-impact.net)
  3. Surveys will be reviewed by your agency’s senior leadership, then submitted to NASA
  4. Deadlines: Survey is open until August 21st, but agencies have varying internal deadlines that can be EARLIER than 8/21. Communicate with your agency’s SNWG representative regarding agency specific timelines
Outcomes:
  • A team of experts from NASA, NOAA, and USGS will evaluate your survey in detail, including a discovery interview and report with information about relevant available resources tailored to your needs
  • You will have a voice in activities NASA will implement in the coming yearssolutions identified based on SNWG needs and co-designed with agencies to ensure they meet your needs
