Hydrosat Senior Product Manager – Luxembourg

Hydrosat is a space and data analytics company building a new Earth observation constellation and software to unlock the power of thermal infrared imagery. Our mission is to capture and deliver high spatio-temporal resolution thermal infrared data, currently not available from other sources, to provide insights that benefit the environment, enhance food and water security, and serve other critical applications. Our downstream applications team in Luxembourg combines best-in-class remote sensing, machine learning, and cutting-edge fusion approaches to thermal imagery to deliver innovative and scalable solutions to the agri-food industry.

We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Senior Product Manager to lead the roadmap and growth of Hydrosat’s Water & Crop Solutions portfolio,  including products such as Field Irrigation Advisor, Water Productivity, and Water Use Compliance Monitoring.

This role requires a unique balance of commercial acumen and technical understanding. You will translate Hydrosat’s advanced thermal and evapotranspiration capabilities into scalable, market-leading solutions for agriculture and water resource management. You should be equally comfortable engaging with customers and partners to identify market opportunities, as you are collaborating with engineers and scientists to refine data models and product features.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong execution skills capable of integrating customer feedback into the product roadmap, positioning Hydrosat’s products competitively, and driving their commercial success in the global marketplace.

Job requirements

  • Own the product vision and roadmap for Hydrosat’s Water & Crop Solutions, defining priorities that align with customer needs and company strategy.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the market and customer segments including farmers, irrigation managers, ag advisors, and policymakers to ensure customer-centric product innovation.
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Business Development to strengthen Hydrosat’s market positioning, refine the value proposition, and drive adoption across key regions.
  • Translate complex scientific and data outputs (thermal, ET, soil moisture, water productivity) into clear product requirements and intuitive user experiences.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Science, Engineering, and Data teams to develop, validate, and launch new features and products.
  • Integrate customer and stakeholder feedback into the product development lifecycle, ensuring continuous improvement of performance, usability, and market fit.
  • Use data-driven insights to measure product performance, prioritize enhancements, and guide strategic decisions.
  • Represent the voice of the customer internally, ensuring our roadmap delivers measurable ROI and real-world impact.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including irrigation technology providers, government agencies, and international organizations, to identify opportunities for collaboration and scale.

Basic Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Agronomy, Earth Observation, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in product management, ideally within agriculture technology, Earth observation, or geospatial analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical or scientific concepts into clear business value and user outcomes.
  • Proven experience in market positioning, product strategy, and go-to-market execution.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to guide decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively across technical and commercial teams.
  • Demonstrated success managing end-to-end product life cycles, from conception to launch.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with geospatial data, remote sensing, or thermal imagery applications.
  • Proven record of collaboration across multidisciplinary teams spanning science, engineering, and business.
  • Strong understanding of API-based and SaaS product models.
  • Experience in startups or high-growth technology environments.
  • MBA or equivalent experience in strategy, product, or business development.

About the Role:  

The Sustainability and Impact Team at Planet is seeking a new Impact Engagement Manager. This role will have frontline responsibilities to work with external partners in areas like conservation, climate, nature, public health, and humanitarian action, to help us fulfill our mission to Use Space to Help Life on Earth.

The Impact Engagement Manager will ensure exceptional outcomes in every part of the lifecycle of an engagement, from conception and enablement to impact measurement. Your mission will be to become a trusted collaborator, with a strong understanding of our product suite and its application in impact-oriented use cases. You will need to establish and maintain trust with important partners and coordinate closely with many internal groups, including our Legal, Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Product teams. Ideal candidates will be excited to partner with leading universities, NGOs and nonprofits, intergovernmental bodies, and companies across cultures and countries on implementing and scaling innovative technologies.

This is a full-time, remote position based in Europe. If located near one of our offices, you will be expected to work from that office at least three days per week.

Impact You’ll Own:

  • Coordinate Impact programs and special projects while making sure they are delivered with excellence, particularly those involving Planet’s digital public goods and response to natural disasters and crisis events.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting, trusted relationships with Impact partners and customers, acting as a principal point-of-contact.
  • Onboard and orient new Impact partners and customers; support product provisioning with Global Customer Success team.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with Impact partners and customers throughout the relationship and project lifecycle, elevating and resolving important issues when needed.
  • Assist Impact partners and customers to expand their usage and adoption of our products, particularly in the areas of nature conservation and sustainability, forest health, food security and resilient agriculture, and peace and human security.
  • Work directly with internal stakeholder groups to make sure that Planet Impact projects are appropriately scoped and feasible, properly contracted, and set up for success, as well as unblock issues if and as they arise.

What You Bring:

  • 4+ years of experience in project management  or a related field
  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent
  • Good working knowledge   of remote sensing, GIS and geospatial products.
  • Ability to successfully communicate and coordinate with international partners and customers, and across internal teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills, proactive work style, and ability to work independently.
  • Experience and interest in sustainability and environmental stewardship, food security and regenerative agriculture, and/or peace and security
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English,
  • Ability to travel
